Dunston Hall got their hands on the Myhill Trophy for the first time since 2012 after they beat Mattishall 5-3 in this year’s final at Eaton Golf Club.
Dunston always held the upper hand in the 36-hole foursomes format tournament, leading 3-1 at the halfway stage.
In the first match, James Flesher and Jonny Webb enjoyed a hard-fought 2&1 victory over Mattishall pair Harry Bradfield and Tarro Giannesi.
Playing directly behind them, Dunston duo Scott Sealey and Scott Nunn made light work of giving away eight shots. They eased to a comfortable 6&5 success over John Knight and Mark Taylor.
Jimmy Martins and Mark Smith moved Dunston further clear, holding their nerve down the last in the face of a spirited fightback from James Buck and Chris Reynolds.
That proved a crucial point for Dunston, given that Mattishall combination Nick Paling and Andrew Curson closed out the morning play with a narrow victory.
Holding a two-point cushion as they began the second set of matches, Dunston moved further clear when Sealey and Nunn surged to another thumping triumph.
And Flesher and Webb helped them cross the line as they battled to a second success of the day.
Mattishall had the edge in the bottom two games. Paling and Curson recorded their second point of the final as Buck and Reynolds also registered a win for the 2026 runners-up.
